PITTSBURG – The Pittsburg State University baseball team took down Emporia State University in mid week action Tuesday (Mar. 29), 11-2.
The Gorillas used a five run fourth inning to get out to an early 6-2 lead over the Hornets. Pitt State would add on five runs in the bottom of the seventh and eight to take the game 11-2.
Caleb Carr would come in to pinch hit for the Gorillas and would finish the day two for two with two long balls and four RBIs. Mason Hartman would finish one for four with two RBIs on the day. Jordan Maxson would also finish two for four on the day.
On the mound Ben Des Rosiers would go five complete innings allowing four hits and two runs. He was credited with the win and moved his season record to 4-1.
