PITTSBURG -- The Pittsburg State University baseball team will travel to Rolla, Mo., Tuesday (Apr. 19) to batle Missouri University of Science & Technology in a non-conference game. First pitch is set for 3 p.m. at Ballpark at S&T.
Game day for the Gorillas and Miners meeting has vacillated between Tuesday and Wednesday (Apr. 20) due to weather forecasts. The two squads also will face one another in Pittsburg on Wednesday, Apr. 27.
Pitt State will bring a 23-16 overall record into Tuesday's action. The Gorillas were swept in a three-game MIAA series by No. 3 ranked University of Central Missouri Apr. 14-16 at Warrensburg, Mo. Missouri S&T is 16-15 overall. The Miners had their scheduled weekend series at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside canceled due to inclement weather.
Following Tuesday's tilt, Pitt State will return to conference play by traveling to Wichita to open a three-game MIAA series against Newman University beginning Friday (Apr. 22).
