PITTSBURG — The Pittsburg State University baseball team will play host to Missouri University of Science & Technology Wednesday (Apr. 27) in the Gorillas regular season home finale. First pitch is set for 5 p.m. (CST) at Al Ortolani Field.
The Gorillas will bring a 27-16 overall record into Wednesday's action. Pitt State swept a three-game MIAA series against Newman University Apr. 21-23 at Wichita. The Miners are 17-19 overall and will look to halt a four-game slide. MST's last win came on Apr. 19 in a 5-2 home victory over Pitt State.
Pitt State has posted a 17-5 record in home games this season.
The Gorillas were scheduled to travel to Bolivar, Mo., to face Southwest Baptist University in a non-conference contest Tuesday (Apr. 26), but that game has been canceled and will not be rescheduled.
