CLAREMORE, Okla. — Tristan Gegg fired in a game-high 25 points to help pace the Pittsburg State University women's basketball team to an 87-47 road win over Rogers State University Thursday (Jan. 19) at the Claremore Expo Center.

Gegg made nine of 16 shots from the floor, including five 3-pointers, in the contest to lead four Pitt State players in double figures. Grace Pyle posted her third consecutive double-double as well, finishing with 14 points and a game-high 10 rebounds.

Karenna Gerber added 11 points and Erin Davis chipped in with 10 points for the Gorillas (14-4, 9-3 MIAA), who registered their fourth consecutive victory.

Pitt State shot 47.9 percent from the floor, making 34 of 71 field goal attempts, while the Gorillas limited the Hillcats (4-14, 2-10 MIAA) to just 21 made baskets. RSU finished the game 1-for-14 from 3-point range.

The Gorillas will return to action Saturday (Jan. 21) when they travel to Tahlequah, Okla., to battle MIAA rival Northeastern State University at 1:30 p.m. (CST) at Dobbins Field House.
