TAHLEQUAH, Okla. — Karenna Gerber scored a game-high 19 points to help lead the Pittsburg State University women's basketball team to an 82-70 road win over Northeastern State University Saturday (Jan. 21) at Dobbins Field House.

Gerber made seven of 10 shots from the floor as the Gorillas shot 48.5 percent from the field overall in the contest (33-68). Tristan Gegg added 14 points, while Grace Pyle (13) and Jenna Shipley (10) also scored in double figures.

Pitt State (15-4, 10-3 MIAA) posted its fifth consecutive victory while sending NSU (5-12, 2-11 MIAA) to its fifth straight defeat. The Gorillas never trailed in the contest and built a 26-point cushion, 74-48, with 7:05 to play in the game.

The Gorillas will return to the friendly confines of John Lance Arena/Whetzel Court to play host to the University of Central Oklahoma next Thursday (Jan. 26) at 5:30 p.m. (CST).
