EMPORIA, Kan. — The Pittsburg State women's volleyball team dropped a hard fought 3-1 decision to Emporia State University Friday (Nov. 3) at W.L. White Auditorium. The Lady Hornets defeated the Gorillas 26-24, 25-20, 24-26, 25-16.
Avery DeLong paced the Gorillas with 15 kills and a .324 attack percentage. Setter Jadyn Jackson dished out 43 assists. Defensively, libero Josie McCroskey totaled 17 digs.
Pitt State (9-17, 4-13 MIAA) will travel to Topeka Saturday (Nov. 4) to battle Washburn University. First serve is set for 2 p.m. (CDT) at Lee Arena.
