MARYVILLE, Mo. -- Kelsey Fields and Lindsey Kelderman combined to score 33 points to power Northwest Missouri State University to a 69-59 victory over the Pittsburg State University women's basketball team Saturday (Dec. 2) at Bearcat Arena.
The Bearcats (7-0, 2-0 MIAA) handed the Gorillas (6-1, 1-1 MIAA) their first loss of the season by limiting Pitt State to 38.5 percent (20-52) shooting on the afternoon.
Grace Pyle paced the Gorillas with game highs of 18 points and nine rebounds in the contest. Jenna Shipley added 12 points while Harper Schreiner contributed 11 points and eight rebounds.
Pitt State will make its home debut next Thursday (Dec. 7) when the Gorillas host Newman University at John Lance Arena/Whetzel Court.
