PITTSBURG — Ben Des Rosiers limited Washburn University to one run over 6.2 innings of work and the Pittsburg State University offense exploded for four home runs in a 10-1 victory Saturday (Apr. 29) at Al Ortolani Field.

Des Rosiers (8-0) limited the Ichabods (28-20, 20-12 MAA) to four hits while registering nine strikeouts on the afternoon. Tanner Leslie and Zach Nagel combined to record the final seven outs behind Des Rosiers.

Joe Hamilton, Nixon Brannan, Cade Clemons and Brevon Lee all swatted home runs in the contest as the Gorillas plated 10 runs on eight hits. Pitt State (31-16, 21-11 MIAA) also benefited from eight walks and a hit batter.

Hamilton, Brannan and Lee all smacked two-run homers, while Clemons hit a solo shot in the bottom of the second inning. Jake Grauberger also belted a two-run double for the Gorillas.

Pitt State and WU will wrap up the three-game series with a Noon (CDT) contest Sunday (Apr. 30). The Gorillas will honor their outgoing senior class in pregame festivities beginning at 11:45 a.m.
