Edmond, Okla. – The Pittsburg State volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision to Central Oklahoma Saturday (Sept. 16). The No. 25 ranked Bronchos defeated the Gorillas 25-17, 25-12, 25-21.
Senior outside hitter Janae Thurston (Peculiar, Mo.) finished the match with a team-high eight kills. Junior setter Jadyn Jackson (Augusta, Kan.) dished out a team-leading 16 assists and sophomore libero Josie McCroskey (Springdale, Ark.) posted 18 digs. Redshirt junior middle hitter Carly Clennan (El Dorado, Kan.) also finished five total blocks.
Up next, the Gorillas will face a pair of road matches against Nebraska-Kearney and Fort Hays State, Sept. 22-23.
