HAYS, Kan. – The Pittsburg State volleyball team defeated the Fort Hays State Tigers in straight sets inside Gross Memorial Coliseum Saturday (Sept. 23). Set scores were 25-22, 26-24, 25-17.

For the Gorillas (6-6, 2-2 MIAA), Vix Villot finished with a career-high 11 kills and 10 digs. She hit .364 on the day while recording her first career double-double.

Jadyn Jackson had 34 assists, Josie McCroskey made a team-leading 14 digs and Carly Clennan finished with a team-high three total blocks.

Up next for Pittsburg State will be a rematch against the Central Oklahoma Bronchos Tuesday (Sept. 26) at John Lance Arena. The Bronchos swept the Gorillas, 3-0, at Edmond, Okla., last Saturday (Sept. 16).
