EMPORIA, Kan. - The Pittsburg State University women's soccer team picked up its inaugural MIAA conference win Friday (Oct. 11) on the road against Emporia State University, 1-0 at the ESU Soccer Pitch.
For the Gorillas (5-4-2, 1-2-2 MIAA),
McKenna Robinson scored her second goal of the season in the 53rd minute near the edge of the 18-yard box with a right footed effort that zoomed past a diving Hornets (3-4-2, 1-2-1 MIAA) goal keeper.
Robinson led the team with three shots, two of which were shots on goal in her 66 minutes of action.
Jocelyn Kramar picked up her first shutout of her career with three saves in 90 minutes stationed between the posts for the Gorillas.
Up next for Pittsburg State will be the No. 22 Washburn University Ichabods on Sunday (Oct. 13) from Yager Stadium at 1:00 p.m. (CDT).
