PITTSBURG - The Pittsburg State University volleyball team picked up its 700th win in team history on Friday (Oct. 25) against the visiting Newman University Jets in straight sets at John Lance Arena.
Set scores against NU (3-21, 0-10 MIAA) were; 25-18, 25-20, 25-19.
For the Gorillas,
Vix Vilott finished with a near double-double having nine kills and nine digs to go with two total blocks.
Carly Clennan accumulated eight kills, hitting .467 and
Maddi LaPointe finished with seven kills while hitting .538.
Jesa Wallace (17) and
Rylee Martin (13) split setting duties while
Josie McCroskey racked up 19 digs to move past Sammie Williams (2005-08) for ninth in career digs at PSU.
Up next for Pitt State is a road weekend against Nebraska-Kearney (Nov. 1) and Fort Hays State (Nov. 2).
