St. Joseph, Mo. - The Pittsburg State University women's soccer team lost in a hard fought 1-0 battle against the 20nd ranked Missouri Western State University Griffons on Friday (Oct. 25) from Spratt Stadium.
Missouri Western (13-0-2, 8-0-1 MIAA) kept their unbeaten streak intact with a 76th minute volley by Sydney Hammett outside the 18-yard box for her second goal of the season.
For the Gorillas (6-6-2, 2-4-2 MIAA),
Jocelyn Kramar in the first half saved five shots and
Macy Clements recorded four saves in the second half.
McKenna Robinson had the lone shot on goal for the team in the 50th minute.
Up next for Pitt State will be the Northwest Missouri State University Bearcats on Sunday (Oct. 27) with kickoff slated for 1:00 p.m. (CT) at Bearcat Pitch.
