TAHLEQUAH, Okla. - The Pittsburg State University women's soccer team fell 3-1 on the road Sunday (Oct. 6) against Northeastern State University at DeLoache Field in conference action.
For the Gorillas (4-4-2, 0-2-2 MIAA)
Chloe Ward scored her first goal of the season following her own shot that was cleared off the line by a RiverHawk defender in the 89th minute. Ward led the team with three shots, all of which were on goal in her 21 minutes of action off the bench.
Northeastern State (8-2, 2-2 MIAA) goalscorers were Sydney Taylor in the 3rd and 63rd minutes with Brooke Dodd scoring in the 32nd minute.
Up next for the Gorillas is a road weekend in the Sunflower state, beginning with Emporia State on Friday (Oct. 11) and Washburn on Sunday (Oct. 13).
