JOPLIN, Mo. — Grace Pyle scored a game-high 20 points to help lead the Pittsburg State University women's basketball team to a 77-66 road win over Missouri Southern State University Saturday (Feb. 17).

Pyle made seven of 11 shots from the floor in the contest, including four 3-pointers, to help pace the Gorillas (19-5, 13-5 MIAA). Karenna Gerber contributed 18 points, 12 rebounds and three blocked shots to the Pitt State cause, while Macie Mays chipped in with 17 points.
The Gorillas broke open a tight game by outscoring the Lions, 21-12, in the pivotal fourth quarter.
Kryslyn Jones led MSSU (18-6, 14-4 MIAA) with 19 points.Â
Pitt State will face a pair of road games next week as the Gorillas will travel to Hays, Kan., and Kearney, Neb., for match-ups against Fort Hays State University and the University of Nebraska-Kearney.
