PITTSBURG -- The University of Central Oklahoma baseball team evened its series with Pittsburg State University Saturday (Mar. 23) with a 6-1 victory at Al Ortolani Field.
The No. 25 ranked Bronchos (23-6, 10-5 MIAA) scored two runs each in the fourth, fifth and sixth innings and starter Brady Gilmore limited the Gorillas (19-9, 10-5 MIAA) to one run over 6.0 innings of work. UCO's Chase Yarger recorded the final nine outs for his second save.
Pitt State got its lone run on Blake Mozley's sacrifce fly in the bottom of the fifth inning. Daegan Brady walked and came around to score.
The two squads will wrap up their three-game MIAA series with a Noon (CDT) game Sunday (Mar. 24).
