WARRENSBURG, Mo. -- The University of Central Missouri baseball team completed a three-game MIAA series sweep of Pittsburg State University with a 13-4 victory at Crane Stadium/Tompkins Field.
Carter Young and Josh Patrick each homered for the No. 2 ranked Mules (33-4, 21-2 MIAA), who scored seven runs between the third and fifth innings of the contest against the Gorillas (23-14, 13-10 MIAA).
Daegan Brady smacked a solo home run for Pitt State, while Dylan Kurahashi-Choy Foo and Austin Warkins each had doubles. Starter Brady Pacha (2-4) was charged with the loss. Six relievers pitched behind Pacha in the game.
Pitt State will travel to Emporia, Kan., to face Emporia State University in an MIAA mid-week contest Tuesday (Apr. 9).
