PITTSBURG — The Pittsburg State University women's soccer team will make its program first home debut Thursday (Sept. 12) when the Gorillas host East Central University at the Gorilla Soccer Pitch.
The match is set for a 3 p.m. (CDT) start.
Pitt State ushered in its inaugural season of play with a pair of road wins last week. The Gorillas posted a 4-2 win over Missouri S&T in the program's first ever match last Thursday (Sept. 5) at Rolla, Mo. Pitt State followed that up with a 3-0 shutout win against Northwestern Oklahoma Sunday (Sept. 8) at Alva, Okla.

Jocelyn Kramar (Fort Collins, Colo.) and
Sabrina Schilt (Plano, Texas) have combined in goal to record 12 saves and hold a 1.00 goals against average (GAA).
East Central is 1-1 on the young season. The Tigers defeated Texas Woman's University 2-1 before dropping a 5-1 decision against the Universityof Texas-Tyler.
The Tigers are headlined by midfielder Abbie Morris with a goal in each game last week. Defender Haleigh Goodson also has scored this season, and she is one of three players to be active in all 180 minutes of action so far. Defenders Ximena Resendiz, Emily Cavazos and Paige Jones have each provided an assist this season. Goalkeeper Madison Mayhall has featured in goal for every minute so far for the Tigers and has accumulated 13 saves while having a 2.50 GAA.
Following Tuesday's action, Pitt State will travel to Bethany, Okla., Saturday (Sept. 14) for a 6 p.m. match against Southern Nazarene University.
The Crimson Storm are 0-0-1 heading into a Wednesday (Sept. 11) home match-up against Texas Woman's University. SNU played to a 1-1 draw against Northwest Missouri State University in its season opener on Sept. 5. The Crimson Storm posted a 10-4-5 record a year ago.
SNU is headlined by forward Kaira Boah, who scored the team's lone goal against NWMSU. Forward Bella Morgas provided an assist. Four members of the team played the full 90 minutes against the Bearcats including goalkeeper Gianna Bonnett.
