DENTON, Texas - The Pittsburg State University volleyball team competed on the first day of the Denton Volleyfest against Henderson State University at Kitty Magee Arena Thursday (Sept. 12).
Henderson State (6-0) remains unblemished on the season defeating the Gorillas (3-2) in five sets. Set scores were 25-20, 26-24, 20-25, 24-26, 11-15.
Individually for Pitt State,
Vix Vilott led the team with 15 kills and 26 digs.
Ivy Fink led the team with 29 digs and finished with 14 kills.
Anna Dean finished with seven total blocks and 10 kills, while
Jesa Wallace (28) and
Rylee Martin (26) combined for 54 assists.Â
Pitt State will play in two games Friday (Sept. 13), beginning with the Midwestern State University Mustangs at 2:00 p.m. (CDT) and ending with the Colorado Christian University Cougars at 7:00 p.m. at Kitty Magee Arena.
