DENTON, Texas -- The Pittsburg State University volleyball team dropped a 3-1 decision to Texas Woman's University to wrap up the Gorillas action in the Denton VolleyFest Saturday (Sept. 14).
The Pioneers downed Pitt State in four sets, 25-23, 25-22, 17-25, 25-21.
Vix Vilott paced the Gorillas (4-4) with 11 kills and 10 digs to finish the match with a double-double. Ivy FInk added nine kills and 19 digs.
Josie McCroskey finished with a team-leading 29 digs and
Jesa Wallace added 39 assists and 21 digs. Fink was named to the Denton Volleyfest All-Tournament team following the conclusion of the tournament.
The Gorilas will return to action Sept. 20-21 when Pitt State hosts a Regional Challenge.
