Grace Pyle poured in a game-high 21 points to lead the No. 12 ranked Pittsburg State University women's basketball team to an 88-62 victory over Rogers State University Wednesday (Jan. 15).

The Gorillas notched their sixth straight win to improve to 15-2 overall and 7-0 in MIAA play. The Hillcats dipped to 7-9 overall (1-6 MIAA).

Pyle connected on seven of 11 shots from the floor in 23 minutes of action. She made four 3-pointers to climb into fourth place in Pitt State history in 3-point field goals (213).

Karenna Gerber, the MIAA Player of the Week each of the past two weeks, chipped in with 11 points, 10 rebounds and two blocked shots, posting her 30
th career double-double.

Savannah Campbell and
Sydney Holmes also scored in double figures with 14 and 10 points, respectively.

Pitt State, which never trailed and led by as many as 35 points in the contest, shot 50.0 percent from the field, making 32 of 64 attempts. The Gorillas outrebounded RSU, 42-30, with a five-rebound edge on the offensive glass.

Ella Hafer paced the Hillcats with 12 points while Alyza Aikins finished with 11.

Pitt State will return to action Saturday (Jan. 18) with a 3:40 p.m. match-up against the University of Central Oklahoma. The Gorillas action will follow the Pitt State men's home contest at 1:40 p.m. The Pitt State-UCO men's game will be televised in the Kansas City metro area on 38 The Spot as the MIAA TV Game of the Week.
