JOPLIN, Mo. - Pittsburg State University sophomore guard
Jordan Frison scored a career-high 34 points in the Gorillas 83-75 win on the road against conference foe Missouri Southern State University on Saturday (Jan. 25) at the Leggett & Platt Athletic Center.
For the Gorillas (10-8, 6-3 MIAA)
Tane Prictor collected a 14-point, 12-rebound double-double and
Avery Taggart finished with 12 points to round out the leading scorers. As a team, Pittsburg State shot .596 from the field and .900 from free throws while winning the rebound battle (30-24) and holding an advantage on points in the paint (42-16).
Missouri Southern (9-9, 4-5 MIAA) was led by Isaiah Atwater with a season-high 22 points.
Up next for the Gorillas will be a road weekend against Northeastern State University (Jan. 30) and Arkansas - Fort Smith (Feb.1).
