PITTSBURG — The Pittsburg State University women's soccer team and Emporia State University battled to a scoreless draw Friday (Oct. 10) at the Gorillas Soccer Pitch.

The Gorillas (8-1-2, 3-0-2 MIAA) maintained their lead in the conference standings with 11 points. The Lady Hornets (6-3-1, 3-0-1) remain in second place with 10 points.

Pitt State outshot ESU, 14-7, in the match including a 6-1 edge in shots on goal, but the Lady Hornets keeper Mackenzi Goen successfully thwarted all the Gorillas' goal scoring opportunities.

Dylan Ehegarter had a pair of shots on goal in the match for the Gorillas, along with
Carrie Cunningham,
Ella Cazzavillan,
Abby Hoffman and Ryan Caruth.

Pitt State will return to the Gorillas Soccer Pitch to face MIAA rival Washburn University Sunday (Oct. 12) at 1 p.m. (CDT).
