Harper Schreiner posted a double-double with a team-leading 19 points and 11 rebounds to lead No. 7 Pittsburg State University to an 82-78 win over the University of Minnesota Crookston Saturday (Nov. 15) at the UNK Health & Sports Center.

The Gorillas (2-0) completed an unbeaten weekend the MIAA/NSIC Crossover Invitational.

Schreiner led five Pitt State players in double figures in the contest. Sophomore guard

Ja'Miya Brown and freshman guard
Marin Adams each finished with 12 points. Freshman center
Kaycee McCumber chipped in with 10 points. Swearingen added a team-leading seven assists. McCumber posted six rebounds.

The Gorillas, who led 36-33 at the break, shot 47.4 percent from the field (27-57). Outscored UMC, 22-10, at the free throw line in the game.

Emma Miller paced the Eagles with a game-high 23 points, while Rayna Klejeski added 17 points.

Pitt State will return to action on Nov. 20 when the Gorillas travel to Alva, Okla., to fce Northwestern Oklahoma State University.
