Sailor Jensen and sophomore forward
Carrie Cunningham were named All-Central Region by the United Soccer Coaches (USC) on Tuesday (Dec. 9), the pair were previously named All-Region in November by the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) for the program's first All-Region honors.
Jensen was named to the first-team as a defender while Cunningham was placed on the second-team as a forward.
In her senior season, Jensen finished with four goals from 19 shots (eight on goal) in 1671 minutes as a centerback. The Murrary, Utah, native helped lead a defensive unit that recorded 10 shutouts this season and claimed a MIAA regular season title while leading the Gorillas to their first MIAA Tournament and NCAA Division II National Tournament matches in program history.
Cunningham was named the MIAA Offensive Player of the Year after scoring five goals and providing two assists in 930 minutes, the Olathe, Kan., native ended the season with team-highs for game winning goals (3), shots (53) and shots on goal (22).Â
