PITTSBURG -- Jacob Hanna scored a game-high 18 points to lead No. 5 ranked Washburn University to a 71-61 road win over the Pittsburg State University men's basketball team Wednesday (Feb. 26) at John Lance Arena/Whetzel Court.
The Ichabods, who wrapped up the MIAA regular season title Saturday, improved to 25-2 overall and 16-2 in MIAA play. Pitt State dropped its second straight contest to slip to 16-11 (12-6 MIAA).
Avery Taggart paced the Gorillas with 15 points in the game.
Tanner Mans added 13 points and
R.J. Forney Jr. chipped in with 11 points.
Tane Prictor added eight points and a game-high 10 rebounds.
Pitt State will close out the regular season by hosting the University of Central Missouri Saturday (Mar. 1) at 3:30 p.m. (CST).
