PITTSBURG --
Savannah Campbell scored a game high 16 points to help lead the Pittsburg State University women's basketball team to a 74-49 victory over Newman University Saturday (Feb. 8) at John Lance Arena/Whetzel Court.
The Gorillas (21-2, 13-0 MIAA) picked up their 12th straight win thanks to a balanced stat sheet against the visiting Jets (7-16, 2-12 MIAA).
Campbell made six of 12 shots from the floor in 21 minutes of action for Pitt State. She also pulled down nine rebounds in the contest.
Karenna Gerber (13) and
Macie Mays (12) also scored in double figures, while
Sydney Holmes chipped in with eight points.
Grace Pyle also added six points and a game high 10 rebounds.
Newman's Jaeden McMillin was the only Jets player in double figures with 10 points.
