PITTSBURG — The Pittsburg State University baseball team will return to Al Ortolani Field for a non-conference match-up against Southwest Baptist University Tuesday (Mar. 18). First pitch is set for 5 p.m. (CDT).

Pitt State enters the game with a 16-5 overall record. The Gorillas swept a three-game MIAA series from Northwest Missouri State University this past weekend. Pitt State posted 8-0, 9-5 and 16-6 wins against the Bearcats.

SBU is 9-11 overall to date The Bearcats have won six of their last seven games after a 3-10 start to the year. SBU took three of four games from William Jewell College this past weekend.

Following Tuesday's action, the Gorillas will host MIAA rival Fort Hays State University in a three-game series beginning Friday (Mar. 21).
