ADA, Okla. - The Pittsburg State University women's soccer team scored a 7-1 victory over East Central to end the non conference slate of the season on Saturday (Sept. 20) at the Tiger Soccer Stadium.
Danae Hobson got the Gorillas (5-1) on the board in the 37th minute with
Rose Harden providing an assist. Hobson doubled her scoring tally for the game in the 38th minute with
River Riley picking up the assist.
Shayla Hunt in the 61st and 67th minutes added goals before
Mia Hunt netted her third goal of the season in the 68th minute, making it 5-0. East Central (0-6) got on the board in the 70th minute with a goal from Avery Spadoni before Pitt State added goals in the 83rd and 85th minutes from
Hailey Green and
Livi Jones to secure the 7-1 win.
Up next for the Gorillas will be the beginning of MIAA play, first with a trip to Kearney, Neb. to play the Lopers of Nebraska - Kearney on Friday (Sept. 26) at 7:00 p.m. (CT) from the Ron & Carol Cope Stadium.
