Pitt State Men Top Neb.-Kearney, 86-70

PITTSBURG – The Pittsburg State University men's basketball team posted an 86-70 victory over the University of Nebraska-Kearney Thursday (Feb. 19) at John Lance Arena.

Mason English led all scorers with 25 points in the game, while Ethan Sage posted his second double-double of the season with 18 points and a season-best 14 rebounds. David Cobin Jr. also scored a career-high 14 points and Alijah Curry added 12 points. English also totaled seven rebounds, six assists and four steals.

The Gorillas (15-11, 9-7 MIAA) shot 51.8 percent from the field in the game, making 29 of 56 attempts. Pitt State also generated 21 points at the foul line, converting 21 of 27 charity shots.
UNK (13-15, 6-11 MIAA) got 20 points from Kendrick Gilbert and 14 apiece from Anthony Swift and Ja'Bryant Hill.

Pitt State will wrap up a five-game home stand by hosting Fort Hays State University for Senior Day at 3:30 p.m. (CST) Saturday (Feb. 21).
