TOPEKA -- The Pittsburg State University men's basketball team dropped an 88-49 road decision to No. 3 Washburn University Wednesday (Feb. 25) at Lee Arena.
The Gorillas (15-13, 9-9 MIAA) got a team-leading 15 points from
Connor Rogers, while
Hayden Shanks and
Mason English added eight point apiece. Pitt State shot 34.0 percent from the field in the game, including 4-for-22 from 3-point range.
The Ichabods (27-1, 17-1 MIAA), who already clinched the regular season MIAA crown, got a game high 22 points from Dylan Claussen, 15 from Marcus Glock and 13 from Jack Bachelor.
Pitt State will close out regular season play with a 3 p.m. (CST) road game against the University of Central Missouri Saturday (Feb. 28) at Warrensburg, Mo.
