PITTSBURG -- The Pittsburg State University baseball team will travel to Edmond, Okla., for week two of the 2026 season and compete in the Edmond First Pitch Classic. Preseason All-American Dagen Brewer is hitting .462 with six hits, six runs scored and six RBI. Rounding out the qualified hitters to bat over .300 are newcomers Grant Nottlemann (.444) and Jadyn McNealy (.333).

On the mound, Cason Long (0.00 ERA, 2 IP), Zach Voss (2.25 ERA, 4 IP) and Bradyn McClure (2.25 ERA, 4 IP) collected wins from the opening weekend. McClure recorded a team-high five strikeouts and limited opponents to a .091 average, while Voss struck out four and opponents hit. 143.

UMSL will make its season debut against Pittsburg State. The Tritons were picked eighth in the GLVC Preseason Poll last month. SEOSU enters the weekend action with a 1-0 record. The Savage Storm defeated Northeastern State Tuesday (Feb. 3). ECU also will make its season debut this week after losing a four-game series against Newman due to weather last week.
