MARYVILLE, Mo. – Northwest Missouri State University's Jordi Ventura belted a two-run walk-off homerun in the bottom of the 10
th inning to lift the Bearcats to an 11-9 win over No. 1/2 Pittsburg State University Friday (Mar. 27).

The Gorillas (26-4, 15-4 MIAA) fell behind, 9-5, in the contest and needed a three-run home run from
Cooper Wesslund in the eighth inning and solo home run from
Isaac Webb in the ninth to knot the score at 9-9.

Pitt State reliever
Cooper Crouch (0-1) issued a leadoff walk to John Connors to open the 10
th frame and Ventura drove the first offering from Crouch over the outfield wall to end the game.

Wesslund doubled, homered and drove in four runs to lead the Pitt State offense. Webb also had two hits and three RBI in the contest, while
Grant Nottlemann collected three hits.

Pitt State pitchers issued a season-high 10 walks in the contest. A pair of errors also led to three unearned runs for the Bearcats (20-9, 10-5 MIAA).

The two squads will return to Bearcat Baseball Field for a 2 p.m. (CDT) contest Saturday (Mar. 28).
