ROLLA, Mo. --

The Gorillas (33-8), ranked No. 10 in the NCBWA Top 25 poll and No. 8 in the ABCA Top 30, snapped a 19-game winning streak by the #24/27 Miners (25-11). Pitt State trailed 5-1 early in the contest but four relievers combined to hold MST scoreless over the final 7.1 innings to give the Gorillas offense a chance to catch fire.

Eric Bacon had a triple among his three hits and
Cooper Wesslund went 2-for-4 at the plate with two runs scored and two RBI.
Preston Giltner (5-2) limited the Miners to three hits over 4.0 innings of work.
Cason Long,
Cooper Crouch and
Bradyn McClure all tossed scoreless innings to combine to register the final nine outs and preserve the win.
Pitt State is idle until next Tuesday (Apr. 21) when the Gorillas play host to Missouri Southern State University at 3 p.m. (CDT) at Al Ortolani Field.
