Gorillas to Conduct Spring Game Friday

PITTSBURG -- The Pittsburg State University football team will wrap up spring drills by hosting its 2026 Spring Game Friday (Apr. 17) at Carnie Smith Stadium.

Pitt State players will begin the Gorilla Walk from the Robert W. Plaster Center to the stadium at 6:15 p.m. (CDT). The Red Team vs. White Team game will follow at 7 p.m.

Food trucks will be on site at Gorilla Village from 5-7 p.m.

The Gorillas are concluding their third spring under head coach Tom Anthony, who has compiled an 18-6 record and led Pitt State to back-to-back trips to the NCAA Division II playoffs. The Gorillas enjoyed a 10-3 record in 2025, capturing a share of their third MIAA crown in four seasons.
