Pitt State will enter the 2026 campaign with high aspirations once again following an 10-3 season last fall. The Gorillas claimed their third MIAA Championship in the last four seasons and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Division II national playoffs, making the program's fourth straight postseason playoff appearance. Pitt State was ranked No. 6 in the final 2025 AFCA NCAA Division II Top 25 poll released Dec. 22.
Pitt State's Spring Game was canceled earlier today due to the threat of inclement weather. The Gorillas will open the 2026 season on Thursday, Aug. 27, against two-time defending NCAA Division II national champion Ferris State University at Carnie Smith Stadium.
