GREENWOOD, Ind. - Four members of the Pittsburg State University softball team were named as College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District on Tuesday (May 26).
Senior
Heather Arnett and
Sailor Hall will advance onto the 2026 CSC Academic All-American® ballot as juniors
Emma Crabb and
Ava Laurent were named All-District.
Arnett this season has been named All-Region by the NFCA and D2CAA after being a first-team All-MIAA performer for the third year in a row. The Pittsburg, Kan., native ended her historic collegiate career with a final campaign for the ages with a.525 batting average, 114 hits, 81 runs scored, 38 stolen bases, 39 RBI, 15 doubles and seven triples. She leads Division II for hits, second for runs scored and batting average. At the time of writing Arnett in Division II history is third in season hits, tied for fourth in career hits (374), seventh in career runs scored (254), tied for sixth in season runs scored and tied for 15th for career stolen bases (155). A two-time Academic All-American®, Arnett ended the school year with a 3.74 cumulative GPA as a general studies major.
Hall, was a second-team All-MIAA performer as a utility player. The West Liberty, Iowa native finished the season with a .346 average, 11 home runs, 43 RBI and 16 doubles while in the circle going 8-1 with a pair of saves in 45.0 innings for a 2.49 ERA. At the end of the school year, Hall possessed a 3.91 cumulative GPA as a management major.
Crabb, this season led the pitching staff with 128.0 innings of work, 103 strikeouts and a .211 opponent batting average to go with a 2.57 ERA and 1.07 WHIP while being 16-5 with three saves. The second-team All-MIAA selection pitched the second perfect game in program history on Apr. 25 against Newman. Ended the school year with a 3.51 cumulative GPA as a psychology major.
Laurent, finished the season with 79.0 innings of work, 64 strikeouts, .215 opponent batting average, 2.84 ERA and 1.18 WHIP while being 10-3. At the end of the school year, Laurent owns a 3.93 cumulative GPA as an exercise science major.
