MARYVILLE, Mo. - The 14th ranked Pittsbug State University women's soccer team ended the weekend with a 3-0 win in non conference action against Northwest Missouri State University at the Bearcat Pitch on Saturday (Sept. 12).
For the Gorillas (6-0),
Danae Hobson scored a goal and provided an assist,
Piper Hughes and
Macy Malik found the back of the net and
Avianna Gonzalez also chipped in with an assist.
Jocelyn Kramar played all 90:00 minutes in goal and recorded no saves as the Bearcats (0-4-1) only mustered up one second-half shot.
Hobson opened the scoring at 7:35 in the first half before Malik made it 2-0 from a Gonzalez assist at 30:27. Hughes finished off the scoring at 61:09 with Hobson picking up the assist on the goal.
Up next for Pittsbug State will be a home MIAA match against Newman on Friday (Sept. 18) at 2:00 p.m. (CT) on the Gorilla Soccer Pitch.
