EDMOND, Okla. - The Pittsburg State University women's soccer team ended the weekend with a hard fought 0-0 tie on the road against the University of Central Oklahoma Bronchos on Sunday (Sept. 27) at Tom Thompson Field.
For the Gorillas (9-0-1, 3-0-1 MIAA) as a team they finished with eight shots, three of which were on goal and four corner kicks. Central Oklahoma (5-3-2, 2-0-2 MIAA) fired off nine shots, six of which required a save and did not finish with a corner kick.
Jocelyn Kramar notched a season-high six saves in 90 minutes of action,
Sammie Edwards led PSU with three shots, two were on goal. For UCO, Maddie Ortwein claimed three saves in the shutout as Greta Likens finished with a team-high two shots and was one of six Bronchos to have a shot on goal.
Up next for Pittsburg State will be the Emporia State University Hornets on Friday (Oct. 2). Kickoff from the Gorilla Soccer Pitch is set for 2:00 p.m. (CT).
