Prior to PSU: Began his collegiate career in 2025-26 at Central (Neb.) Community College in Columbus, Neb., where for coach Tyler Francis he averaged 8.4 points, 7.5 rebounds and shot .575 from the field for the Raiders in 30 starts... Named the CCC Rookie of the Year, also tabbed as a men's basketball Academic All-Region selection.

HS: Prepped at East Butler High School for coach Matt Novak and the Tigers ... Participated in basketball and track while at EBHS ... Johnson on the basketball court averaged 15 points, 12 rebounds, 3.7 blocks and 1.8 assists a game for his career ... School record holder for season blocks (92), game blocks (11) and rebounds (301) ...  All-State and All-Conference performer on the court ... Claimed the conference championship in the high jump and as a member of the 4x400m relay team to qualify for the state meet.
