General: Completed her fourth season in the Pitt State program in 2025.
2025: At the MIAA Championships (Oct. 25) ran the 6k course at the Four Oaks Golf Course in Pittsburg, Kan., in a time of 24:27.3 ... Competing at the SBU Bearcat XC Invitational (Sept. 5) in Bolivar, Mo., ran the 5k course in a season-best time of 19:19.9, finishing 17th at the meet.
2024: Ran the 6k course at the UAH Chargers Invitational with a season-best time of 22:32.6 ... At the MIAA Championships (Oct. 26) in St. Joseph, Mo., ran the 6k course in a time of 23:31.6 to finish 52nd.
2023: At the MIAA Championships (Oct. 20) in Columbia, Mo., Kelsey finished 58th with a personal-best time of 24:15.1 on the 6k course.
2022: Finished the 5k course at the Southern Stampede (Sept. 17) in a personal-best time of 18:30.2.
HS:Â AÂ standout prep athlete at Wichita's Kapaun Mt. Carmel High School.
Personal: Born April 9, 2004 … Daughter of Bryon and Jennifer Bruening … A four-time member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll with a 3.85 cumulative GPA as an exercise science major at the conclusion of the 2025-26 school year.
