Pittsburg State University Athletics

General: Third-year player… a returning two-time All-MIAA performer who is primed for a big senior season… a talented safety who will look to contend for All-MIAA honors and beyond this fall.

In 2013: Appeared in 11 games, starting all 11… tallied 64 tackles (35 solo) with 3.0 tackles-for-loss, one interception, four pass breakups and two forced fumbles… earned second-team All-MIAA honors.

In 2012: Saw action in nine games, including seven starts… logged 38 tackles (13 solo) with 1.5 tackles-for-loss, 1.0 quarterback sack, two INTs and one fumble recovery… earned honorable mention All-MIAA honors.

At KU: Spent two seasons at Kansas… started 10 of 11 games played for the Jayhawks in 2011… finished the season as the squad’s fourth-leading tackler with 66 stops (35 solo)… also had an interception and two pass breakups… played in three games as a freshman in 2010, before suffering a season-ending injury… made 10 tackles with 2.5 TFLs that year.

In High School: A three-year Missouri Class 5A All-State performer at wide receiver at Blue Springs High School (2007-09)… earned the Otis Taylor Award as Kansas City’s top wide receiver… caught 74 passes for 928 yards and 11 touchdowns as a senior in 2009… as a junior, had 49 receptions for 902 yards while also rushing for 594 yards… scored 17 combined TDs that year.

Personal: Born November 18, 1991… son of Doug and Kerry Terry… a two-year member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll and an MIAA Scholar Athlete… also earned Capital One Academic All-District honors as a junior in 2013… has a 3.64 GPA as a physical education major.
