Pittsburg State University Athletics

General: Second-year player… made an immediate impact for the Gorillas last year… a speedy running back who also has good hands as a pass catcher out of the backfield… expected to be a key component in the Gorillas’ offensive attack again this fall.

In 2014: Started four of 13 games … carried the ball 74 times for a team-leading 451 yards (6.1 ypc) and two touchdowns… also caught 21 passes for 278 yards (13.2 ypc) and two more scores… rushed 15 times for a season-high 102 yards and a TD vs. Nebraska-Kearney (Oct. 25)… had 94 rushing yards including the game-sealing 23-yard TD run vs. Central Missouri (Nov. 8)… also had a season-high 59 receiving yards vs. the Mules.

In Junior College: Played one season at Garden City C.C. (2012)… carried the ball 150 times for 722 yards (4.8 ypc) and 16 touchdowns in 10 games played… helped the Broncbusters to a 7-4 record and a victory in the Mississippi Bowl in post-season play… played his freshman season at Georgia Military College in 2010.

In High School: A first-team South Carolina Class 4A All-State performer as a senior at Rock Hill High in 2009… carried the ball 213 times for 2008 yards (9.4 ypc) and 28 touchdowns in 12 games (167.3 ypg) for the Bearcats… selected to the South Carolina North-South All-Star game.

Personal: Born May 28, 1991… son of Terry Tyler and LaShondria Turner… a kinesiology major.
