Biography

Second-year player… a talented catcher who will look to make an immediate impact for the Gorillas this spring… In 2017: started 27 of 33 games... batted .305 with 16 runs scored and five doubles... enjoyed nine mulit-hit games... earned All-MIAA Honorable Mention... transferred to Pitt State from the University of Kansas… At KU: Started 17 of 32 games played for the Jayhawks in 2016… batted .243 with three doubles, two HRs and 11 RBIs… played in 16 games (seven starts) as a freshman in 2015… In High School:  A two-time Kansas Class 5A All-State performer at Blue Valley Southwest High School (2013-14)… also a four-year All-Eastern Kansas League (EKL) selection (2011-14)… Personal:  Born September 29, 1995… son of Kevin and Shelly Martin… a communication major.
