Pittsburg State Gorillas

Second-year player… a talented middle infielder who will look to make an immediate impact for the Gorillas this spring… In 2017: started 50 of 50 games played... batted .354 with a team-high 18 doubles, nine home runs and 48 RBI... enjoyed 23 multiple-hit games... earned All-MIAA Honorable Mention... transferred to Pitt State from Western Illinois University… At WIU: Started 48 of 49 games for the Leathernecks as a freshman in 2015… batted .262 with 29 runs scored and 11 doubles and three HRs… started 35 games for WIU in 2016, hitting .230 with seven doubles, three HRs and 16 RBIs… In High School:  A first-team All-State performer at Blue Springs South High School as a senior in 2014… a two-time All-Conference selection (2013-14) and the Conference Player of the Year his senior season… batted .442 with seven HRs and 42 RBIs while helping the Jaguars to a 21-6 record and a third-place state finish… Personal:  Born February 1, 1996… son of Tim and Cristi Pogue… a marketing major.
