Second-year player… a talented righthanded pitcher who will look to compete for a spot in the Gorillas starting rotation this spring… In 2017: made 16 appearances, 16 starts... posted a 2-5 record with a 6.70 ERA... registered 44 strikeouts in 49.2 innings of work... transferred to Pitt State from Longview Community College… In Junior College: Made 13 appearances, 12 starts as a sophomore at Longview C.C. in 2016… posted a 5-4 record with a 4.96 ERA and 65 strikeouts in 65.3 IP… posted a 2-2 record with a 4.93 ERA and two saves as a freshman in 2015… In High School:  A stand-out prep performer at Gravette High School… a three-year starter for the Lions… Personal:  Born August 6, 1996… son of Trey and Paula Vanderpool… an electronics engineering technology major.
