Fifth-year player… coming off a medical redshirt season in 2015… an All-MIAA caliber pitcher with 42 career appearances… recovered from his arm injury and pitched in the Cape Cod League over the summer… expected to be the ace of the Pitt State pitching staff this spring… In 2015: Redshirt season… In 2014: Started eight of 11 games on the mound… posted an 0-5 record with a 7.46 ERA in 35.0 innings of work… In 2013: Made 16 pitching appearances, with 11 starts… notched a 6-4 record with a 3.27 ERA in 66.0 innings… was second on the team with 58 strikeouts… recorded two complete games on the year… threw a complete-game shutout against Emporia State on April 16… tallied a career-high 11 strikeouts in the seven inning performance… In 2012: Made 15 pitching appearances, including five starts… posted a 4-4 record with a 5.57 ERA in 53.3 innings of work… registered 41 strikeouts on the season, including a season-high seven vs. Emporia State (Mar. 17)… In High School:  A stand-out prep athlete at Lee's Summit North High... posted a 10-1 record with 85 strikeouts for his American Legion squad… Personal:  Born July 5, 1993... son of John and Janet Brandecker... a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll… has a 3.89 GPA as a mechanical engineering technology major.
