Third-year player… a promising pitcher for the Gorillas… coming off a redshirt season… will look to impact the Pitt State staff this spring… In 2014-15: Made one pitching appearance for the Gorillas in 2014… exercised a medical redshirt in 2015… In Junior College:  Spent two seasons at Neosho County Community College… made 14 relief appearances for the Panthers during his sophomore season… posted a 2-2 record with a 3.99 ERA in 30.0 innings… tallied 16 strikeouts on the year… helped NCCC reach the NJCAA World Series his freshman and sophomore seasons… In High School:  A three-year letterman at Shawnee Mission West High School… a second-team All-State selection as a senior… helped the Vikings to a 21-4 record during his senior campaign… Personal:  Born January 19, 1993... son of Bob and Cathy Boyd... a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll… has a 3.25 GPA as an history/government major.
