Biography

General: Fifth-year player… a talented running back who is expected to contend for significant action in the backfield for the Gorillas again this fall… has 80 career carries for 382 yards and five TDs.

In 2014: Appeared in 12 games in a reserve role… carried the ball 49 times for 184 yards (3.8 ypc) with two TDs… had 11 carries for a season-high 43 yards against Missouri Western (Oct. 4).

In 2013: Appeared in 11 games in a reserve role… carried the ball 20 times for 164 yards (8.2 ypc) with three touchdowns… had six carries for 89 yards and a touchdown against Northwestern Oklahoma (Nov. 2).

In 2011-12: Saw action in two games in 2012, after redshirting in 2011… carried the ball 11 times for 34 yards on the season in 2012.

In High School: A two-time first-team Missouri Class 4A All-State performer at Carthage High (2009-10)… a four-time All-Conference selection for the Tigers… started 46 consecutive games, compiling 5,246 career rushing yards with 63 touchdowns… carried the ball 178 times for 1,710 yards and 28 TDs his senior year.

Personal: Born May 24, 1992… son of Jerry and Mary Poston… a three-year member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll… has a 3.27 GPA as a manufacturing engineering technology major.
