Pittsburg State Gorillas

General: First-year player… transferred to Pitt State in January from Iowa State University… a talented safety who adjusted well to the Gorillas schemes during spring drills… expected to be an impact player this fall.

At Iowa State: Saw action in 11 games, including 10 starts… tallied 57 tackles (26 solo) with 2.0 tackles-for-loss, six pass breakups and two fumble recoveries.

In Junior College: A two-time first-team All-Southwest Conference performer Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College (2012-13)… made 104 solo tackles during his two-year career as well as 12 pass breakups… made seven interceptions as a freshman in 2012, earning NJCAA National Player of the Week honors with three INTs vs. No. 5 Kilgore College.

In High School: A Missouri Class 4A All-State performer at Carthage High School… rushed for 695 yards and 14 touchdowns and caught 49 passes for 902 yards and eight touchdowns as a senior for the Tigers… also a stand-out prep track & field athlete.

Personal: Born July 17, 1992… son of Angela Hunnell… has a 3.19 GPA as a general studies major.
